As Bolton's premiere Diversity event the Bolton Bazaar will feature and highlight what makes the One Bolton Family so special through music, dance, fashion and food. The event which takes place on Saturday 17th July and is widely recognised for celebrating Diversity in all its forms.

THERE’S a fantastic celebration of the pride of the Bolton family this summer and you are all invited!

The ‘Pride of Bolton’ celebration on Saturday July 17 will see music, dance, fashion and food from Bolton take centre stage in a spectacular all day event. And the ‘Big TV’ on Victoria Square will entertain thousands of people visiting the town centre and promote the ‘Pride of Bolton 2010’.

Last year more than 200 performers from community groups across the borough took part, these included dancers Johnson Fold Youth Express; the exotic belly dancers from Oldhams estate; and a Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ tribute act to the sensational Scottish Asian Bagpipes from Deane and Rumworth and a ‘Bollywood’ fashion show there was something for everyone. Thousands of people saw them perform in Victoria Square with more at a special evening performance in Victoria Hall. This year promises to be bigger and better with a colourful display of sights, sounds and tastes.

Organisers are looking for community groups and individuals to prove they have talent and take pride in Bolton by taking part in this fantastic event. They’re also looking for local businesses and organisations to support the Pride of Bolton show and the Bolton Bazaar 2010.

The event will include the ‘Big TV’ and stage in Victoria Square, where local people will perform and the pride of Bolton will be highlighted on the big screen. There will also be performers within the Market Place shopping centre, and the best will be invited back as part of the ‘Bolton Bazaar 2010’ in the evening at the Albert Halls.
